Real magnolias

Pretty in pink!

The magnolias already peaked, I think. But they’re so pretty while they last.

Incidentally, in five minutes of Wikipediaing, I discovered that apparently magnolias don’t have petals, per se; they have TEPALS, which are basically the same thing but undifferentiated. (Petals & sepals are fancy differentiated tepals.)

  1. Here in the N of England our are just flowering, though I suspect they did not like the snow that fell last evening. Your magnolia is a beautiful shade of pink.
    BTW the CDP portal is back and I can resume glancing through the world again.
