Madison library – 2

Lots of books within.

Whenever I’m scoping out a new town, one of the first things I do is check out its library. Not only does it give me a place to park, but it’s usually reasonably close to other big historical municipal buildings, which are ALSO usually reasonably close to prime downtown areas.

This USED to be the case in Madison, back in the day. But they moved to this location in 1968/69. It’s still walking distance from downtown, but it’s more of a hike than it used to be.

That is totally construction going on.
